BLUE SHADES sung by Chris
Lyrics
BLUE SHADES
Written by Mary Cole Grimley and Greg Garrett

Chorus

I got my blue shades on.
I got my blue shades on.
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
I got my blue shades on, ba-by.

Verse One

My whole world is cool and new.
The sun may be scor-ching all the grass dirt brown,
no air-con-di-tio-ning, no ice, no fan

Chorus

but... I got my blue shades on. (Oooo)
I got my blue shades on. (Mmmm)
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
I got my blue shades on, ba-by.

Verse Two

My whole world is cool and new.
The dogs may be pan-ting and the stream's gone dry,
no chance of shade be-neath such a cloud-less sky

Chorus

but... I got my blue shades on. (Mmmm)
I got my blue shades on.
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue. (Oooo)
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
I got my blue shades on, ba-by.
O. yeah!

Instrumental

I got my blue shades on.
I got my blue shades on.
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue. (O, yeah )
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
I got my blue shades on, ba-by.

Verse Three

My whole world is cool and new.
It's i-cy win-ter, and the snow's waist-high;
that un-re-len-ting sun may blind my eyes

Chorus

but... I got my blue shades on. ( Oooo)
I got my blue shades on. (Mmmm)
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue. (Oooo )
Ev'-ry-thing is cool and blue.
I got my blue shades on, ba-by.
Everything is cool and blue.
Description
Short Song Description:
A man puts on his blue shades and his whole world becomes cool, blue and stress free!
Long Song Description:
Studio Pros were asked to record this song and emulate the late, great Michael Burks. The guitar on this recording certainly does a good job as does the singer, Chris.
Story Behind the Song:
A few years ago, Mary had blue tinted prescription shades and really enjoyed her view of the world through them. So the song was born.
